Former Hazard resident, Dr. Lloyd D. Caudill, 68, passed away on August 22, 2013 in Greenville, South Carolina surrounded by his loving family.

Former Hazard resident, Dr. Lloyd D. Caudill, 68, passed away on August 22, 2013 in Greenville, South Carolina surrounded by his loving family.
Dr. Caudill was born on October 17, 1944 in Paintsville, Kentucky, the eldest child of James I. and Amanda M. Caudill (nee Carty).
Upon graduating from Hazard High School in 1962, he was awarded an athletic scholarship to play football at the University of Kentucky. As a standout student-athlete, he received recognition at the state and national level. As a result, he was inducted into the Hazard High School Football Hall of Fame. He graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.S. in Zoology in 1967 and later received an M.D. from the University of Louisville in 1970. Dr. Caudill married his high school and college sweetheart Frances (nee Napier) of Leatherwood, Kentucky in Oxford, Ohio on June 11, 1966.
