JOHN SIMS

John Elmer Sims Jr., 66, of Danville, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013,  at his residence. 

Born Jan. 20, 1947, in Fayette County, he was the son of the late J. Elmer and Boone Nichols Sims. He was a 1965 graduate of Harrodsburg High School, where he was class president. He went on to the University of Kentucky, then to Eastern Kentucky University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in secondary education. He was a retired teacher.
