JAMES MCKINNEY

James W. McKinney, 79, of Harrodsburg, husband of Melinda Marie Jones McKinney, died Sunday, Aug. 18 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.

Born May 4, 1934, in Ft. Knox, he was the son of  the late Eugene and Hazel Cox McKinney. He served in the Army during Korean War, was a member of the Stithton Baptist Church in Radcliff; a 33rd Degree Mason with the Mercer Masonic Lodge #777 F&AM; a member of the Olekia Shrine Temple and Scottish Rite; Commander of the American Legion Post 341; member of the Valley of Lexington and Orient of Kentucky Valley. He was also a founding member of the Korean War National Museum, a life member of the First Cavalry Division Association and the Order of the Purple Heart. He was retired from Tutt Construction.
