Burgin Drops East in Opener

Burgin’s Olivia May hits the deck to receive the serve in the Lady Bulldog’s 3-1 win over East Jessamine Monday.

It was far from perfect Tuesday night on the road at East Jessamine, but in the end the Lady Bulldog’s volleyball team was able to get a 46th District road win over the Lady Jaguars in both team’s season opener, 3-1.

 The match started with East Jessamine jumping out to a 10-6 lead over the Lady Bulldogs. The Lady Jaguars were able to maintain a healthy lead getting up 20-9 before taking the opening game 25-14.
