Region Losses Local Legend Sullivan

To most sports enthusiast, the best official is the one that goes unnoticed. For the late Howard Sullivan of Mercer County, this philosophy couldn’t be farther from the truth. 

Sullivan, who passed away last week at the age of 64 after losing his fight with lung disease, was a baseball umpire in the 12th Region for more than 25 years and by far its most recognizable and noticed.
