An Eye On the NBA 2013 Draft

With the Miami Heat finishing their second straight championship season and the NBA Draft scheduled for today, Thursday, June 27, now seems like the perfect time to debut our new weekly column, “An Eye On the…” where we take a crack at that week’s biggest story on the national level. 

While the Heat winning their second straight championship, and the arrest of New England Patriots tightend Aaron Hernandez  on obstruction of justice charges in relations to the murder of Odin Lloyd are both note worthy, I’m more of a “look to the future” kind of guy and decided to pick the NBA Draft as the topic for this week’s column. It also didn’t hurt that I’m a diehard, bleed blue, can’t watch a U.K. game in public for fear of shaming my family Kentucky Basketball fan and this gives me the opportunity to talk about the ONLY bright spot of the 2012-13 season, Nerlens Noel.
