FRED BLAKE

Fred Lee Blake, 74, husband of May Blake, died Friday, June 14, 2013 at Lebanon Village in Lebanon.  

Born in Owsley County, he was the son of the late Claude and Mable B. Blake, He was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond and retired as a Sergeant from the Lexington Police Department. He was a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of the Police Lodge #4 and the Fraternal Order of the Police Lodge #34 in Winchester.  Fred worked for the Thoroughbred Racing Protective Bureau at Keeneland for 15 years and was a longtime member of Grapevine Christian Church in Harrodsburg.
