Three Mercer Runners Named All-Area

The Mercer County Titan’s boy’s and girl’s track teams each had runners named to the Kentucky Track and Cross Country Coaches Association (KTCCCA) All-Area 6  team earlier this week. 

The Titan’s were named relay school of the year thanks to their 4×800 and 4×400 meter teams that finished with the best times in Area 6 as well as the fourth best time in the 4×200 meter relay. Members of the relay teams included Bryant Qualls, Landon Souder, Dean Tyler, Jawan Smith, Kobe Ford, Matthew Gammon, Chase Moore and Alex Bosse. The 1600 and 3200 meter relay teams were also selected to the first team all-area list with the 800 meter relay team being named to the second team all-area.
