Titans Unable to Clinch Title

Mercer pitcher Jackson Stoeckinger delivers the pitch in the 46th District Championship Tuesday night.
The Mercer County Titan’s baseball team came up just short of winning their second 46th District title in the past three years Tuesday night falling to the defending champion Colts of West Jessamine (24-10), 5-1.
The Titans reached the championship game by defeating the East Jessamine Jaguars (22-12) Monday night, 9-4. Mercer fell behind East, 4-0 in the opening inning, but were able to fight back and tie the game at 4-all in the bottom of the third.
