Burgin Romped by East, 15-0

Julia Hagen swings at the pitch in the Lady Bulldog’s game Monday.

A mixture of inconsistent hitting and being overpowered on the defensive end led to an early departure from the 46th District Tournament for the Lady Bulldogs softball team Monday night.

Burgin faced the No.1 seeded Lady Jaguars of East Jessamine who entered the game with the 12th Regions fourth best record of 23-9.

After holding the Lady Bulldogs scoreless, East Jessamine opened the game by scoring five runs on two hits a walked and hit batter and one Burgin fielding error.
