East Jessamine Downs Burgin

The Bulldog’s baseball team suffered their third 46th District loss Thursday night at the home of the East Jessamine Jaguars (18-11), 10-0. Burgin was unable to produce a run or a hit in the game against East Jessamine winning pitcher, Cody Eschrich, who went all five innings

The Jaguars put up three runs in the first inning followed by four and two runs in the second and third, holding a 9-0 lead through three innings. The Bulldog’s defense tightened up in the fourth inning holding East Jessamine scoreless. The Jaguars bounced back in the fifth inning scoring their tenth forcing the game to be called due to the mercy rule in the seventh.
