Franklin Lawson

Franklin C. Lawson, 85, formerly of Harrodsburg, widower of Pauline Robinson Lawson, died Monday, March 25, 2013 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born April 13, 1927 in Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late Luther and Mary Farney Lawson. He was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran, a former plumber and pipe fitter for Lexington Local 452, a member of Mercer Lodge #777 F&AM where he served as master twice and treasurer for 32 years, a member of the Mercer County Fair Board, where he was inducted into the Fair and Horse Show Hall of Fame in 2012, a member of the Lions Club, VFW, American Legion, National Guard, Harrodstown Chorus, Harrodsburg Men’s Chorus, Traditions Barbershop Chorus of Danville, was a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church for 65 years, a member of the Master’s Servants Quartet and a member of Carpenter’s Christian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Paula Lawson Spears of Lawrenceburg and Robin Lawson (Wes) Shumate of Tyler, Texas; one brother, Harold (Mattie) Lawson of Danville; three grandchildren: and two great-grandchildren
