Hazel Lester

Hazel Black Lester, 92, wife of Carlos B. Lester, died Monday, March 12, 2013 at The James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital Extended Care Facility.  

Born Nov. 17, 1920 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late James Daniel and Hester Newby Black.  She was a retired Mercer County school teacher and a lifetime member of Bruners Chapel Baptist Church, where she had served as pianist and organist. 

Survivors in addition to her husband include two sons, Donnie (Cheryl) Lester and Doug (Kathy) Lester, both of Harrodsburg; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
