Justin Sircy

Justin Peter Sircy, 39, was born on July 24, 1973, in Illinois. He was the fifth son and seventh child of Hubert E. Sircy, Jr. and Patricia M. Sircy who lived at 2152 Bohon Road, Harrodsburg for 33 years. He died of a heart attack on Jan. 25, 2013 in Georgia, where he was living.

Justin graduated from Mercer County High School, earned an undergraduate degree in art from Berea College and a Masters Degree in Fine Arts from Ohio University, where he studied Theater Arts focusing on set and prop construction.

Justin worked at the American Repertory Theater (ART) in Cambridge, Mass., which is affiliated with Harvard University, until joining his brothers, Jim and Jay, in the profession of building sets and props for the movie and TV industries in California. He worked mainly in Hollywood, most recently on the set of “The Middle” on ABC. He was an expert at carpentry as well as welding.

Justin was preceded in death by his parents and leaves behind four brothers, Joe, Jim, John and Jay and two sisters, Kathi and Karen. Many nieces and nephews also mourn his loss, as well as friends and relatives from coast to coast. May he rest in God’s peace.
