Madison Southern

It was all Lady Titans Tuesday night on the road as they hammered the Lady Eagles of Madison Southern (5-14), 62-39, in their third straight win. The streak is even more impressive considering they have been without starting point guard Catheryne Claunch over the three game span due to an injury.

Mercer hit a combined 11 three pointers in the game including four by Heidi Huffman. Cassidy Martin also had a big game for the Lady Titans with 21 points and 11 rebounds, both team highs in her second consecutive double-double performance.

Listed below are individual player’s scoring totals:

Mercer (12-5) – Cassidy Martin 21, Heidi Huffman 14, Seygan Robins 8, Raegan Freeman 6, Lyric Houston 6, Carli Souder 6, Kandace Gash 1.

The Lady Titans look to make it four strait this Friday, Jan. 18 when they travel to Pulaski County High School to take on the Lady Maroons (9-7) at 7:30 p.m.

Mercer improved to 5-1 in the 12th Region Saturday night, defeating the Lady Briar Jumpers of Somerset in convincing fashion, 73-60.
