Louise Dean

Louise Isham Dean, 90, of Harrodsburg, widow of William H. “Bill” Dean, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at The James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.

Born Nov. 14, 1922 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Joshua and Ora Peavler Isham.   She was a  retired Corning Glass employee, a member of the Harrodsburg United Presbyterian Church and a member of Toastmasters. She was Poet Laureate of Harrodsburg and Mercer County, was a charter member of Road to Recovery, was regent of the Jane McAfee chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution for six years, was a member of the Woman’s Club of Harrodsburg and was an active member of the Harrodsburg Historical Society and the James Harrod Trust.

Survivors include one daughter, Julia Ann Dean of Alexandria, Va. and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
