Bulldogs Fall in All “A” Classic to Briar Jumpers

It was a hard fought game between the Burgin Bulldogs and the Briar Jumpers of Somerset Monday night in the opening round of the 12th Region All “A” Classic. 

Burgin opened the game by holding the Briar Jumpers to just eight first quarter points, taking a two point lead into the second period. 

“I knew going into the game we wanted to slow them down as much as we could,” said Burgin Head Coach Brian Kirk. “We knew they were going to start out playing a zone against us and I just told my boys ‘stand out there and hold it, once they come after us that’s when we will look to attack the openings they give us.’”
