Anne Tilden Bohon Vansant, of Lexington, widow of Gilbert Mastin Vansant died Monday, Dec. 24, 2012.
Born Sept. 27, 1917 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Katherine Cluke and Lynn Hanly Bohon. She was a graduate of Science Hill School and Centre College, owned The Gazebo gift shop in Danville, was a member of Central Christian Church and its Ida Harris Circle, belonged to the National Society of Colonial Dames in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, was active in the Harrodsburg Women’s Club, the Harrodsburg Historical Society and the Harrodsburg Christian Church. She also served on the board of the Mercer County Public Library.
Survivors include a daughter, Katherine Vansant (William) Bates of Daniel Island, S.C.; one grandson, Mason Chandler Bates of New York, NY and one nephew Lindsey W. (Alice) Ingram Jr. of Lexington.
