William Elliott

William Albert Elliott, 85, of Harrodsburg, husband of Mary Cornish Elliott and widower of Helen Ruth Farney Elliott, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at the Thomson Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore.

Born April 26, 1927 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late John A. and Mary Russell Elliott.  He was a retired farmer, a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters, Kathy Smalley of Harrodsburg and Linda Elliott of Danville; one sister, Betsy Goodlett of Lawrenceburg; one brother, Roy “Leon” Elliott of Daphne, Ala.; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
