Franklin Long

Franklin Boyd Long, 65, widower of Corene Pendergraft Long, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012 at his son’s residence in Mercer County.  

Born May 24, 1947 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late George Bradley and Jessie Lee Norton Long.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam and a retiree from Square D.

Survivors include one son, Gary Dale (Jessi) Long of Mercer County; two daughters, Christina (Armon) Portwood of Georgetown and Joetta (Larry) Salmons of Corinth; one brother, David (Gladys) Long of London; three sisters, Betty Barnes of Harrodsburg, Arnetta (Carnell) Hendren of Louisville and Norene Baker of Harrodsburg; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
