Mildred Stevens

Mildred Covert Inabit Stevens, 98, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012 at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home.  

Born Sept. 14, 1914 in Mercer County,  She was the daughter of the late Marcus and Jimmie Lee Disponett Covert. She was a former employee of Universal Fasteners, Huffman Distillery, and the Dean and Sherk Thread Factory.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church and served as a volunteer for many years with the Red Cross Blood Mobile. 

Survivors include a step son, Jackie O’Neal (Betty) Stevens of Virginia Beach, Va.; four step grandchildren and four cousins.
