Bessie Cunningham

Bessie D. Cunningham, 92, of Harrodsburg, widow of Clifford Cunningham, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012 at the Extended Care Unit at The James B. Haggin  Memorial Hospital.

Born May 24, 1920 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Abe and Laura Bell Brown Doneghy.  She was a 1938 graduate of Westside High School, a seamstress at Cricketeer, was an active member of the Harrod Homemaker’s Club and was a member of the Evergreen Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg where she sang in the adult choir and was a member of the Missionary Society. 

Survivors include three daughters: Pamela Humes of Michigan, Sheila Tarrance of Lexington and Teresa Shivers of Frankfort; one son, Clifford Cunningham  Jr. of Lexington; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
