Marvin Yocum

Marvin Seay Yocum, 82, husband to Dorothy Brethour Yocum, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2012 at his residence.

Born Oct. 18, 1930 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Worley and Hallie Monroe Yocum. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, and a retired Scott County Coroner. He was  owner of Tucker-Yocum Funeral Home where he was a funeral director and embalmer for over 20 years. He was a member of Georgetown Baptist Church, former president of the Georgetown Kiwanis Club and former owner of Georgetown Monument Company.

Survivors in addition to his wife include one son, Steven Yocum and one daughter, Sandra (Daryl) Hatton, both of Georgetown; a brother, Morris (Mary Ann) Yocum of Harrodsburg; sisters, Margaret (Jimmy) Sexton of Harrodsburg and Mildred Yates of Lexington; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
