KHSAA Class A and 2A State Cross Country Results

The Burgin Bulldogs boy’s cross country team finished 21st out of the 27 teams that competed in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association Class A State meet Saturday at the Kentucky Horse Park in Georgetown.

The Bulldogs finished with a team time of 1:41:24.48. The St. Henry District boy’s team took first place in the class with a team time of 1:27:36.03. 

Listed are the places finished, names, and individual times of the Burgin boys team:

29th, Alex Beckerson, 17:53.71; 149th, Nick Beckerson, 20:26.90; 154th, Charles Holsinger, 20:37.30; 158th, Cooper Shearer, 20:46.68; 186th, Trevor Lay, 21:39.89; 195th, Michael McKenzie, 22:13.16; 212th, Wesley Stewart, 28:25.43.

The Mercer County Titans boys track team was also in competition Saturday in the Class 2A State meet. The Titans finished with a team time of 1:36:19.33, placing 19th out of the 30 teams in contention. North Oldham took first place with a team time of 1:28:53.47.

77th, Jacob Crowell, 18:47.83; 107th, Bryant Qualls, 19:08.90; 121st, Dean Tyler, 19:26.21; 122nd, James Stinnett, 19:26.79; 128th, Jawan Smith, 19:29.60; 191st, Lex Burkhead, 20:33.29 and 196th, Jordan Woods, 20:36.55.

The boys weren’t the only ones running for Mercer County at the state meet, Taylor Gray also competed in the girl’s Class 2A State Meet. She finished 131st out of 232 runners with a time of 23:36.65.
