Ozell Milam

Ozell Wilson “Crash” Milam, 95, formerly of Lexington, husband of Betty Lea Wyrick Milam, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 in Paris, Tenn.
Born Feb. 6, 1917 in Puryear, Tenn., he was the son of the late Joseph Aaron and Ella Henderson Milam. He retired as a Sergeant Major from the U.S. Marines after 32 years, serving in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of Buchanan Methodist Church, the Amvets and VFW. He was a Mason for more than 50 years and Past Master of Buchanan Masonic Lodge #772, 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, a 50 year York Rite Mason, was a Shriner for more than 50 years and Past Worthy Patron of the Eastern Star.
Suvivors in addition to his wife include two sons, Richard Lee (Nina) Milam of Buchanan, Tenn. and Joseph Patrick (Donita) Milam of Harrodsburg; three brothers, Harrell J. (Odene) Milam of Venice, Fla., Robert O. (Ina) Milam of Buchanan, Tenn. and Horace E. (Onetta) Milam of Buchanan, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
