Titans C.C. Team Takes Third

The Mercer County Titans boys track team placed third over the weekend in the Area 6 Championship meet held at Anderson-Dean Community Park. 

The boy’s team finished with a total time of 1:39:51.11 behind second place Berea at 1:37:47.84 and winning team of Madison Central who came in at 1:31:13.95.

5th, James Stinnett, MC, 18:40.34; 7th, Bryant Qualls, MC, 18:49.56; 13th, Jawan Smith, MC, 19:41.05; 17th, Jacob Crowell, MC, 20:41.77; 18th, Charles Holsinger, B, 21:04.25; 27th, John Mays, MC, 21:58.41; 28th, Lex Burkhead, MC, 21:59.85; 29th, Zachary Curtsinger, B, 22:00.55; 30th, Cooper Shearer, B, 22:01.53; 40th, Kendrick Dunn, MC, 26:10.12; 42nd, John Yankey, MC, 26:49.88; 44th, Kaleb McDonald, MC, 28:30.64.

The Titans cross country team began the month as the States No. 9 team in Class 2A with Qualls ranked in the top 20 runners at 18th.
