Billie Jean Patterson

A memorial service for Billie Jean Patterson of Harrodsburg, who died Jan. 21, 2011, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel.

Born Jan. 18, 1930 in Van Arsdell, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Garnett and Eula Chilton Patterson.  She graduated from Harrodsburg High School in 1949 and worked as a seed analyst for the Tennessee and Georgia Departments of Agriculture.

Survivors include  two sisters, Helen Tracy of Grand Island, Neb., and Beatrice Tatum of Harrodsburg; 11 nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
