Ruth Peavler

Ruth C. Peavler, 86, of  Burgin, widow of Byron Bush Peavler, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012 at The James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.

Born March 27, 1926 in Fairfield, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Samuel Arvel and Mary Frances Green Houk. She was a housewife, worked at Mercer Dress, was a secretary for the Burgin Schools and was a member of the Harrodsburg Church of Christ. 

Survivors include one daughter, Pamela Tatum and one son, Brent (Bonnie) Peavler, all of Harrodsburg; one sister, Jean Surma of Illinois; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
