More than 55 boy’s varsity teams competed in the Greater Louisville Classic Cross Country Invitational Saturday at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park.
The Mercer County Titans team broke into the top 25, finishing 24th with a team time of 1:31:18.43 and were led by Bryant Qualls who finished 46th out of the 467 man field with a time of 17:20.94.
The Burgin Bulldogs finished near the rear of the pack at 52nd with a team time of 1:44:34.27 and were led by Alex Beckerson who finished 118th with a time of 18:08.48 as he recovers from a knee injury suffered earlier this season. Daviess County took the meet with a team time of 1:24:38.18.
