Sam Devine

Sam M. Devine, 69, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2012 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.  

Born April 30, 1943 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late William Ancil and Margie Harmon Divine.  He was a retired heavy equipment operator having worked in blacktopping and construction.  

Survivors include his son, Chris Devine of Stanford and one daughter, Betsy (Lonnie) Hill of Gravel Switch; One brother, Billy Devine of California; two sisters, Lillian Long and Norma Curtsinger, both of Harrodsburg; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
