Lady Titans Golf Place 11th

The Lady Titans golf team closed out their 2012 season by placing 11th out of 15 teams in the 7th Region tournament held at the Gibson Bay Golf Resort in Richmond. The team score was 447, 70 strokes under their total from last year of 517. 

The Lady Titans prepared for the tournament by playing in numerous 18 hole matches throughout the season, as well as a heavy practice schedule the weeks leading up to the regional tournament. 

“Our very young golf team made up of one sophomore, three freshmen, two eighth graders and a sixth grader gained valuable experience throughout the season,” said Mercer Head Coach Phil Williams. “We are looking forward to the challenges of the 2013 golf season and will continued to work hard improving our game in the off season.”
