Claude Preston

Claude R. Preston Sr., 97, of Harrodsburg, widower of Alberta Helene Leavitt Preston, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2012 at The James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.

Born May 3, 1915 in Jellico, Tenn., he was the son of the late Charles Thomas and Ethel Bailey Preston.   He served during World War II in the Navy, was a federal employee for the Department of the Navy and a member of the Baptist faith. 

Survivors include two daughters, Lucille J. Benoit of Maine and Diane Carey of Junction City; one son, Claude (Ann) Preston Jr. of Harrodsburg; one sister, Pauline Oliver of Berea; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
