Lady Titans Unable to Keep Up With Nelson

The Lady Titans suffered their first home loss of the season Tuesday night to the hands of the Lady Cardinals of Nelson County (6-4).
The Lady Titans opened the game with a bang as Shannon Murray took the opening kickoff inside the Lady Cardinals 18-yard-box scoring the game’s first goal in only 30 seconds of play.
Nelson County responded quickly, taking the ensuing kickoff inside Mercer’s penalty box with senior forward Emily Barnett tying the game at 1-1, 40 seconds into the match.
Murray gave the Lady Titans a one goal advantage moments later scoring her second goal of the game at the three minute mark. The Lady Cardinals kept up the blistering pace by tying the game at 2-all 15 minutes into the match.
