Edna Knight

Edna M. Knight, 86, of Harrodsburg, wife of L.D. Knight, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2012 at her residence.

Born July 23, 1926 in Louisville, she was the daughter of the late Lovell E. and Mary Phillips Marks. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Georgetown College and earned a Master’s Degree from Western Kentucky University. She was a mathematics teacher for 15 years at Calhoun High School and for 16 years at Harrodsburg High School, was a member of the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association,  the Mercer County Retired Teachers Association and a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church. She served as organist for Calhoun Baptist Church for 16 years. 

Survivors in addition to her husband include two sons, Dr. Robert (Linda) Knight of Owensboro and the Honorable Mark (Pam) Knight of Somerset; one sister, Ann Marks Foster of Bardstown;  four grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren.
