It was a one sided affair Tuesday night as the Mercer County Titans (2-0-1) defeated the Burgin Bulldogs (0-4) by mercy rule in 64 minutes of play, 10-0.

Mercer opened the scoring four minutes into the game and by the 10 minute mark had a 3-0 lead. Back to back goals by the Titans in the 14th and 15th minute put Mercer half way to the mercy rule not even midway through the opening half.

The Bulldogs gave up their sixth goal of the game 10 minutes later increasing Mercer’s lead. With under a minute remaining in the first half, Titan James Stinnett gave his team a 7-0 lead, finding the back of the net off the header on a Mercer corner kick.
