Sarah Griffin

Sarah Patterson Brown “Pat” Griffin, 87, of Mooresville, Ind.,  wife of Charles Griffin, died Aug. 6, 2012, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind.  

Born in Stanford on Nov. 28, 1924, she was the daughter of the late James H. and Myrtie Mays Palmer Brown.  

She graduated from high school in Kentucky and worked for the Indiana State Board of Health and L.S. Ayres.  She was a volunteer with the Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and at local blood drives.  She was the recipient of the Lifetime Membership Recognition Award from Weight Watchers and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Moooresville.  

Survivors in addition to her husband include two daughters, Gail (Bob) Richards of Indianapolis and Janet (Bill) Buckley of Mooresville; two sons, James D. (Anna) Griffin of Avon, Ind. and Bob (Nora) Griffin of Martinsville, Ind.; two grandchildren, two step grandchildren, and one step great-grandchild.
