Roy Pulliam

Roy Lee Pulliam Sr., 82, of Harrodsburg, husband of Marie Moore Pulliam, died Sunday, July 22, 2012 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lexington.

Born Jan. 22, 1930 in McLean, Ill., he was the son of the late Roy Lee and Lilly Teater Roney and adopted son of Henry and Anna Bunton Pulliam.  He was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean War, was a construction worker for Ben Tom in Ohio and Hinkle Construction in Carlisle and was a farmer. He was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church and attended Eller’s Memorial Baptist Church.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters: Jennifer (Bruce) Frizen, Waxhaw, N.C. and Rita (Mike) Steele of Harrodsburg; one son, Roy Lee (Kathy)  Pulliam Jr. of Harrodsburg;  five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
