Marie Ellis

Mable Marie Camic Ellis, widow of Horace C. Ellis, died Thursday, July 19, 2012. 

Born March 5, 1924 in Crescent City, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Fleetie Kays Camic.  She was a graduate of Fairview High School, received her bachelors of science and masters of arts in education and guidance counseling and obtained her Rank one in administration from Eastern Kentucky University. She taught for 36 years, 26 years in the Danville City Schools and the last 13 years as a counselor at Danville High School. She was a member of the Danville and Kentucky Retired Teachers Associations and was a member of the Mercer Church of Christ.

Survivors include one son, Dr. LeMayne (Georgia) Ellis of Harrodsburg; one brother, Roy R. Camic of Danville; one sister, Julia Graham of Harrodsburg and several nieces and nephews.
