James R. Moore

James Russell Moore, 89, of Harrodsburg, husband of Amy Lois Dockery Moore, died Saturday, June 2, 2012 at his residence.
Born April 4, 1923 in Key, he was the son of the late John Wesley and Emily Elizabeth Back Moore. He was a graduate of Lee County High School, served during World War II in the U.S. Army, was a former pilot, a retired automobile manufacturer for General Motors in Pontiac, Mich. and a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors in addition to his wife include three daughters, Rosemary (Larry) McDuffie, Jesup, Ga., Peggy (Larry) Monaham, Almont, Mich. and Karen Moore of Kingston, Mich.; one son, James (Cathy) Richard Moore, Ada, Mich.; three step daughters, D’Lois (Richard) Bryant and Shirley (Clifford) Morris, both of Holly, Mich. and Geneva (Kenneth) Lee of Covington, Ga.; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
