Titans Fall to Woodford

The Mercer County Titans suffered their 9th loss of the season Tuesday night at the hands of the Woodford County
Yellowjackets (22-6), 8-7.

Woodford County scored two runs each in the first and second inning, taking a 4-0 lead after two. A single shot homerun by Brandon Varble put his team up, 5-0, going into the bottom of the third inning. 

Mercer’s Austin Horn drove in his team’s first run on a deep ball down the first base line cutting the Yellowjackets lead to four, 5-1. A single by Jon Banks scored Seth Heath in the bottom of the fourth inning, pulling Mercer to within three runs.
