Mercer Boys Track Take First at C.K.C.

The Mercer County Titans track team edged out Henry Clay for the top spot at the Central Kentucky Conference championship track meet held at Admiral Stadium in Danville Friday night.  Mercer led the way with 163 points with the Blue Devils nine and half points behind in second place with 153.5 points. The Bulldogs finished 9th out of 15 teams with 25 points.

Isaiah Burrus took high scoring honors for the boys side, scoring 26.5 points. Mercer head coach Bill Smith was also named the coach of the year in the conference for boys track.

On the girl’s side, Mercer finished the meet in 6th place with 45 points and Burgin finished 13th with 13.50 points, while the Lady Rebels of Boyle County won the meet with 113.50 points.
