Eileen Lester

Edith Eileen Lester, 83, of Harrodsburg, died Monday, April 16, 2012, at The James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital. 

Born February 14, 1929 in Stanford, she was the daughter of the late Robert Pitts and Sallie Chestnut Sampson.  She was a graduate of the Danville School of Practical Nursing.  She was a former LPN at The James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital, V. A. Medical Center and the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was a member of the Harrodsburg Christian Church and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.

Survivors include:  two daughters, Lana Garrett and Lisa Lynn Lester, both of Harrodsburg; three sisters, Dortha (Gene) Lawson of Harrodsburg, Pauline Holloway of South Lebanon, OH, Ann Baugh of Versailles; a brother, Robert Sampson, Jr. of South Lebanon, OH; two half brothers, William (Wanda) McQueen of Westchester, OH, and Lynn McQueen of Mason, OH; a half sister, Elaine Clark of Covington; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
