Laverne Britton

Laverne Britton, 90, of Harrodsburg, widow of Ralph  Britton, died Monday, April 2, 2012.

Born Feb. 8, 1922 in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late James Irvin  and Madie Lee Long. She was a homemaker, a cattle farmer, a former employee of  HallMack and a member of Carpenter’s Christian Church. 

Survivors include two daughters, Linda (Dwayne) Quarles of Lubbock, Texas and Jan (Larry) Peyton of Harrodsburg; one sister, Lavona L. Moody of Louisville; one brother, Maurice Long of Lexington; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
