Margaret Spires

Margaret Ann Wilham Spires, widow of Edward Spires, died Sunday, March 25th at Ft. Logan Hospital, Stanford.  Margaret had been ill for several years.

   Margaret and her beloved Ed made their home in Georgia for 35 years until Ed’s death in 1997, and her sister, Ruth Young’s death in 1998.  Margaret then moved back to Kentucky, to be close to family, and settled in Stanford.  Margaret attended Burgin United Methodist Church with her sister, other family members and her good Christian friends.  Margaret was the daughter of the late Truman Wilham and Helen Wilder Cole.

   Margaret is survivied by her sister, Patsy W. Hayslett; a sister-in-law, Jeannette Mullins; a brother-in-law, Burt Spires; many nieces and nephews.
