Carol Short

Carol F. Short, 60, wife of Elder J.D. Short III, died Saturday, March 24, 2012 at her home.
Born Jan. 8, 1952 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Catherine Dunn Yeast. She was a 1970 graduate of Harrodsburg High School, was a former employee at Cricketeer Manufacturing and Aunt Gravy’s restaurant and a member and first lady of Centennial Baptist Church, where she was a leader of the Women’s Fellowship and was a member of the Usher Board.
Survivors other than her husband include: two sons, Terry (Tiffany) Yeast of Harrodsburg and Nicholas (Jessica) Short of Burgin; one daughter, Yolanda (Orlando) Mays of Harrodsburg; six brothers, Butch Payne of Lawrenceburg, William “Bo” (Missy) Yeast, Robert “Robbie” Yeast, Steve Yeast and Nick (Debra) Yeast, all of Harrodsburg; George (Dana) Yeast of Danville; two sisters, Catherine (Sam) Wheat and Bobbi Jo (Nate) Bean, both of Harrodsburg; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
