Judson Barrett

Judson “Judd” Barrett, 72, of Harrodsburg, formerly of Twinsburg, Ohio, husband of Glenda Barrett, died Friday, March 16, 2012 at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.

Born Nov. 12, 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Laurence and Betty Teter Barrett.  He was a retired employee of TSE Communications in Raleigh, N.C., a former employee of the Harrodsburg City Police Department and Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home and former owner and operator of the Swirly Top Restaurant. He was employed at King Middle School as a custodian. He was a member and elder of the Harrodsburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

 Survivors in addition to his wife include one son, Larry Barrett; one daughter, Kim Malusky of Twinsburg, Ohio; two brothers, Geoffrey Barrett of Burgin and Todd Barrett of Newberry, Ohio; two stepdaughters, Tina (Dale) Davis and Robin Kellogg, both of Harrodsburg; one stepson, James “Buddy” Pike of Harrodsburg; one sister-in-law, Barbara (Herbert) Cox of Harrodsburg, 12 grandchildren, one great-grandson and many nieces and nephews.
