Herbert Lyons

Herbert Leroy Lyons, 74, husband of Barbara Griffieth Lyons of Harrodsburg, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at his residence.  

Born May 8, 1937 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Herbert and Bessie Robinson Lyons.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, retired from Hayslett Mechanical Contractors, Inc. and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. 

Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons,  Herbert Eugene (Sarah) Lyons and Kayden Dylan Lyons, both of Harrodsburg; three daughters, Tammy Lyons, Vicky Lyons Warner and Bessie Marie (Nathan) Lindsay, all of Harrodsburg; five brothers  Earl (Thelma) Lyons of Cornishville, Charlie and David Lyons, both of Harrodsburg, Donald (Pauline) Lyons of Rose Hill and Buford (Nora) Lyons of Lexington; four sisters, Wilma Jean (Marvin) Derringer, Wanda (Roger) Coslow, Joyce (Bobby) Blacketer and Rita (Clarence) Hicks, all of Harrodsburg; 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
