Titans Season Ended by East Jessamine

Senior Austin Horn drives to the lane in the opening round of the 46th District tournament Tuesday night.
The Titans were put out of the first round of the 46th District tournament for the first time in three seasons and denied the chance to defend their title, as the number one seeded East Jessamine Jaguars won, 75-43.
“From top to bottom they are probably the most athletic team in our region,” said Mercer head coach Brian Britt. “That’s a big reason why they went 26-4 in the regular season.”
Mercer fell behind early in the first quarter, 4-0, before back to back baskets by Drew Davis and Russell Sims tied the game at 4-4 with five minutes remaining in the opening period.
