Donald Pinkston

Donald Pinkston, 87, of Mackville, husband of Norma Logsdon Pinkston, died Monday, Feb.  13, 2012 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.

Born June 18, 1924 in Washington County, he was the son of the late Urban and Ida Gray Pinkston. He was a member of the Mackville Christian Church where he served as a deacon for 42 years, a lifelong farmer and served as a trustee for 20 years on the Peter Cemetery Board in Mackville. He served in the United States Army for two years.

Survivors other than his wife include a son, Doug (Pam) Pinkston of Mackville; a daughter, Debbie (Dan) Back of Lexington; two sisters, Dorothy Reynolds of Mackville and Ollie Gray Clark of Mt. Washington; a brother, Dalmon (Geraldine) Pinkston of Springfield; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
