Betty Derringer Schlack

Betty J. Derringer Colvin Schalck, 71, of Lexington, wife of Stan L. Schalck, died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012. 

Born April 20, 1940, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Waisle Shewmaker Derringer. 

Survivors other than her husband include two daughters, Justina (Edward) Bockey of Ohio and Gwen (Juan) Martinez of Lexington; two sons, Richard Colvin of Lexington and Owen (Cathy Lowe) Colvin of Harrodsburg; two brothers, Richard (Nikki) Derringer of Harrodsburg and Glenn Derringer of Mackville; three step-sons, Michael (Virginia) Schalck of Calif., David (Darla) Schalck of Silvergrove and Cory Schalck of Calif.; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
